Recap Before Episode 4

Utage Kinoshita is a devoted fan of idol Tamon Fukuhara from the group F/ACE. While everyone sees Tamon as a confident superstar, Utage discovers his real personality: shy, gloomy, and lacking self-confidence. Instead of being disappointed, she decides to support the real Tamon.

Meanwhile, fellow idol Ouri Sakaguchi begins taking an interest in Utage, setting up a love triangle.

Tamon’s Search for Confidence

At the beginning of Episode 4, Tamon is still troubled by the competition to become the center performer of F/ACE. He believes something is missing from his life and wonders if understanding love will help him become a better performer.

Rather than asking another idol or a celebrity, he invites Utage to accompany him to a summer festival.

Although Tamon says it’s “research,” it’s obvious that spending time with Utage makes him feel comfortable.

The Summer Festival Date

The festival becomes the heart of the episode.

Utage Wears a Yukata

Utage arrives wearing a beautiful yukata. Tamon is surprised because he has never seen her dressed this way. His reaction hints that he is beginning to notice her as more than just a helpful fan.

Tamon’s Disguise

Since Tamon is a famous idol, he disguises himself so fans won’t recognize him.

Walking together through food stalls, games, and lantern-lit streets gives them a rare chance to act like ordinary teenagers instead of idol and fan.

Their Relationship Deepens

Throughout the festival:

• They laugh together.
• They enjoy traditional festival games.
• They slowly become more comfortable with each other.
• Tamon starts smiling naturally instead of forcing an idol smile.

For Utage, this is one of the happiest days of her life—not because she’s with a celebrity, but because she’s spending time with the real Tamon.

Ouri Watches from the Shadows

While Tamon and Utage enjoy the festival, Ouri secretly observes them.

He becomes increasingly jealous and irritated. Until now, Ouri has treated Utage like someone amusing to tease, but seeing her with Tamon makes him realize his feelings are becoming genuine.

This is an important turning point because Ouri changes from a playful rival into someone emotionally invested.

Tamon’s Bold Moment

One of the episode’s standout scenes comes when Tamon unexpectedly becomes protective of Utage.

Normally timid and unsure of himself, he briefly acts with confidence to keep Ouri from interfering. This surprises both Utage and the audience, showing that Tamon can be courageous when someone important to him is involved.

Fireworks Scene

The fireworks scene is the emotional climax.

As colorful fireworks light up the night sky:

• Tamon begins opening his heart.
• Utage quietly admires him.
• Their awkward conversations become more sincere.

The fireworks symbolize hope and the beginning of a deeper emotional connection.
